Potty Training A Boy Puppy

How do I potty train my puppy?

I have a 3 month old Brittany Spaniel boy puppy.
When I walk him he usually goes on others lawns. I want him to be trained so he can be left in the house or garage and go to the restroom in the right spot. I would also like to teach him how to go to the restroom outside in the same spot. I’ve boughten the puppy “pads” that are scented and make the puppy go on the pad but my puppy always tears up the pad. HELP!

When you take your puppy out for walks always reward him with a treat and verbally praise him. This should reinforce good potty habits. Also, make sure to take the dog out for a walk three times a day and with the puppy pads when the puppy goes in the house put its nose in the mess and say NO and then take him to the puppy pad.
