Many times a toddler that is going through the potty training process often suffer from anxiety and can be between the ages of 2 and 3. Also this can occur in toddlers as early as 18 months especially when they are being potty trained and continue through the ages of 4 and 5. During potty training toddlers this is something that needs to be addressed when you first anxiety during these times.

The idea is to give them low-risk activities that increase their awareness of potty training and it is temporary. Anxiety can be intense for you and your toddler, so be patient and work with them: offer them patience, understanding, encouragement and unconditional love.
