Toilet Training Boys At Night

Potty Training Help in 2 1/2 year old boy?

My son is 2 1/2. He was 100% potty trained during the day for the last month and a half. He only had an accident about once a week. DOING GREAT!!! So Sunday night I decided to let him sleep in big boy undies at night. The first 3 nights he would wake up once during the night to go to the restroom and his bed was dry. Then yesterday he had 2 accidents in his pants, wet the bed, and has had 4 accidents today. It’s like all of the sudden he just gave up. I don’t understand. He doesn’t get in trouble when he has an accident. All I tell him is mommy isn’t happy you went potty in your pants, and then I ask him where we go potty and he always says on the toilet. My question is, is this normal for them to stop doing perfect at potty training?

My daughter was doing great and then quit. I think she got bored or something. Anyways, I tried for a week to get her back into it and nada. So I shut up and didn’t say anything for one more week and then started over again. And then we have been rock solid for over a year now!

I will say it was frustrating and disapointing. One thing that worked in my favor was she didn’t like pullups after feeling the freedom of thinner, light weight cotton underwear. I MADE her where them for the one week because she decided not to go in the potty anymore. I think that helped.
